MLA Capital Partners and our investors are driven to secure and grow the legacy of Steward owners of small to medium-sized manufacturers in the Southwest Ohio region.  We aim to assure the exiting owners are given both a fair value for their years of dedication and a solid future for their employees and clients. These Steward owners also have a win-win mindset to mentor internal management and integrate with other like-minded companies.

Investment Criteria:

We are looking for small to medium size companies that are:

• Headquartered within 2.5 hours of Southwest Ohio
• Interested in securing a value aligned investment group that is focused on achievable growth
• Not pre-revenue or in the following industries:
  • Brick and mortar retail (unless franchise)
  • Dependent primarily on direct government funding (i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, or first tier defense contracting)
  • Construction
  • Hospitality or restaurant (unless franchise)
• Able to define and demonstrate passion around the unique opportunity the business offers to the world
• Led by a teachable and tactically capable incumbent “management team”
• Able to fit with our broader Business Redeemed ® ethos.
• Likely between $3 and $15M in revenue

Consolidated Capabilities

MLA Capital Partners also seeks to build a consortium of manufacturing capabilities. These companies may not specifically fit each of the criteria above. But, they will be able to visualize joining a consortium that enables them to:

• Focus on their passion – the customer and producing unique products by centralizing back-office activities
• Overcome the struggles of finding talented, skilled trades
• Utilize advanced manufacturing opportunities to increase production
• Keep and expand their manufacturing in the region
• Capitalize on their years of unique experiences in driving the overall direction of the group
• Improve operations.
